Section 24-72-201 C.R.S. provides that public records shall be open for inspection "except as provided in this part 2 or as otherwise specifically provided by law." § 24-72-201, C.R.S.
Section 24-34-306(3) provides in relevant part:
The members of the commission and its staff shall not disclose the filing of a charge, the information gathered during the investigation, or the efforts to eliminate such discriminatory or unfair practice by conference, conciliation, or persuasion unless such disclosure is made in connection with the conduct of the investigation, in connection with the filing of a petition seeking appropriate injunctive relief against the respondent under section 24-34-507, or at a public hearing or unless the complainant and respondent agree to such disclosure.
Based on this exception under law, complaint information is not releasable.
